Configuration Migration is an Early Access feature.

Overview

The configuration migration feature is designed to simplify replicating service configurations across different namespaces or environments. You can use it for the following scenarios:

  1. Migrate configuration from development to certification or production.
  2. Create a new namespace with copied configurations from a well-worked environment or namespace.

The configuration migration feature gives you the following advantages:

  • Time-saving: streamlines the configuration replication process, enabling you to save valuable time and resources.
  • Consistency: ensures uniformity across namespaces or environments, which reduces the risk of differences or inconsistencies that may impact gaming experience.
  • Efficiency: automates the configuration replication, which helps you save valuable time and effort and enable you to focus on critical aspects of game development, innovation, and delivering a polished game experience.

View configuration migration history

In the AGS Admin Portal, you can view a list of completed migrations that set your publisher namespace as the target environment. To view this list, follow these steps:

  1. In the AGS Admin Portal, go to your publisher namespace.

  2. On the sidebar, select Configuration Migration. The Configuration Migration page appears, displaying a list of previously completed migrations in the namespace.

  3. To view the details of a specific migration, click its corresponding View button under the Action column. The details page of the migration appears.

  4. On the details page of the migration, you have the option download snapshots and view the migration log and migration data differences between the source and target namespaces.
