Overview - In-game registration - (Unreal Engine module)

Introduction

When a player logs in for the first time using methods such as device ID, a headless account is created. A headless account has limited capabilities. This module will guide you through implementing the process of upgrading a headless account to a full AccelByte Gaming Services (AGS) account within Byte Wars itself.

Prerequisites

In order to complete this module, you will need:

  • To have completed the following module:

  • The Byte Wars tutorialmodules branch checked out in your local Byte Wars Unreal project repository.

  • To force enable this module by adding the following code to the Config/DefaultEngine.ini file:

    [AccelByteTutorialModules]
    +ForcedEnabledModules=TutorialModule:REGISTERUSERINGAME
    ...
