Instance capacity limits

Overview

AccelByte Multiplayer Servers (AMS) places a limit on the number of instances each account can use to ensure that the backend has enough capacity to reliably fulfill requests fo all users.

備考

If you need additional capacity, such as for a game launch, submit a request through the AccelByte Customer Support Portal.

View capacity limits

The available capacity of your instances depends on the instance type and region, and you may see a different number if you select a different instance type. The capacity of your instances is tracked on the account level, meaning that different fleets within your AMS account consume the same capacity.

To view the current capacity of your instances on the Admin Portal, follow these steps:

  1. On the Admin Portal sidebar, go to ADD-ONS > AMS > Fleet Manager.

  2. From the fleets list, find and open the details page of the fleet with the instance capacity you want to view.

  3. On the fleet's details page, open the Configure tab and then the DS Host & Region. Scroll down to the Regional Configuration section to find the maximum number of instances allowed for each region. In the example below, the limit for us-west-2 is 100 instances, allowing you to run 500 dedicated servers (DS) if you chose to run five DS per instance.

Machines provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Each AMS account includes access to AWS cloud instance types with a default capacity that covers most use cases for your account tier. For large fleets, you would want run on multiple instance types and regions to have a larger total capacity.

Machines provided by servers.com

By default, an AMS account does not include capacity for servers.com instance types. After your requested bare metal instances are provisioned to your account, they will appear as available instance type options in the fleet creation process. To read more about creating fleets, refer to the Create fleets to deploy dedicated servers page.
