Improvements and Bug Fixes
Usage statistics page Improvements
We have made improvements to the way Data Transfer and Data Storage information is presented in ADT to enhance transparency for administrators. Specifically, we have separated the Data Storage section into distinct categories for PDB files and Symbol Server storage, as many users found the previous unified view confusing. Additionally, we have resolved an issue where the storage usage percentage was not being calculated or displayed correctly. These changes aim to provide clearer insights and a more accurate understanding of storage utilization for ADT administrators.
For more detailed insights, please refer to the Usage Statistics page.
Manual Enablement of Symbol Server
We observed that not all of our customers actively use the Symbol Server for debugging crashes. To address this, we are introducing a manual enablement option for the Symbol Server. This allows you to choose whether or not to activate the feature based on your specific debugging needs. This change allows you to save additional data storage when the setting is disabled, as PDB files will not be extracted for crash debugging. Here’s how you can enable the Symbol Server:
Navigate to Game Settings
Open the Game Settings page from the ADT Web interface.
Locate Game Integration
Under the Game Integration section, find the Symbol Server option.
Enable Symbol Server
Toggle the Symbol Server feature to enable it for your game.
Save Changes
Ensure you save your settings to activate the Symbol Server functionality.
By enabling this feature, debugging symbols (PDB files) are processed and stored for efficient retrieval during debugging sessions.
