Introduction
The AccelByte Gaming Services (AGS) Code Redemption service enables game studios to create and distribute redeemable codes for unlocking entitlements and discounts. This service streamlines promotional campaigns and boosts player engagement by providing a flexible framework for code redemption, enabling detailed control and real-time monitoring of code distribution and usage.
AGS supports two types of code redemption campaigns:
- Item code redemption: a code redemption campaign for in-game items and other entitlements. You can also add subscription plans as add-on benefits to item code redemption campaigns.
- Discount code redemption: a code redemption campaign to secure discounts on select items or item categories.
In the AGS Admin Portal, you can:
- Create and manage item or discount code redemptions.
- Configure code properties, such as the number of uses per code and per player.
- Manually create or randomly generate codes for code redemption campaigns.
- Monitor code redemptions and usage.
