Create your AGS store
Overview
This article walks you through how to create your AccelByte Gaming Services (AGS) store in your publisher or game namespace, in the AGS Admin Portal or with the AGS CLI.
Your AGS store can exist in both publisher namespaces and game namespaces. We recommend that game-specific items be configured in a game namespace since a publisher namespace is usually used as a publisher storefront for your game, and downloadable content (DLC) distribution. A publisher namespace is more useful if you are setting up an AGS Player Portal and launching your games using our Launcher, since you can manage sales of your games in them.
You also have the option to integrate a third-party store platform with your AGS store. To learn more, see Manage third-party store integrations.
Prerequisites
- You have access to the AGS Admin Portal.
- You have a game or a publisher namespace.
- To follow the AGS CLI steps, you have installed the AGS CLI and signed in with an account that has access to these features. See Install and sign in. The examples use a Bash shell.

Create the draft store. After
@, pass the path to your JSON file:ags platform stores create --namespace <YourNamespace> --json @store.jsonThe command prints the new store. Its
storeIdfield is the store ID that you use in other commands. -
To see the stores in your namespace, run:
ags platform stores list --namespace <YourNamespace> --format json
To try the whole store setup in one command, run the in-game-store workflow. It creates a sample draft store with a virtual currency, categories, and two items, then publishes it. Because it publishes the store, use it in a test namespace that doesn't have a draft store yet.
ags workflow run in-game-store --namespace <YourNamespace>
