Overview
AccelByte Gaming Services (AGS) offers the ability to require players to verify their email addresses before completing account registration. This article shows you how to set up mandatory email verification.
Permissions
AGS Private Cloud
This permission section applies to Private Cloud customers only
Make sure your account has the permissions in the table below before you attempt to configure mandatory email verification in the Admin Portal.

Configure mandatory email verification

In the AGS Admin Portal, go to your studio namespace.

Go to Admin Task > Feature Flags

Set the Mandatory Email Verification toggle to ACTIVE or INACTIVE as desired.
- When ACTIVE, players need to request a verification code to be sent to their email address first, and then use the verification code when registering.
- When INACTIVE, a player can register an account first and verify their email address later.
